Updated: May 24, 2021

Ma'am Janet is a Professor at Saint Louis University under the Department of English and Communication. She has been a faculty member of the said University since 2002. She also occasionally teaches at the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Studies. She finished her AB Mass Communication and MA Language Education at the same University. In the many years, she gains connections from prominent organizations and can contact famous people she thought were unreachable.

She was born during the Martial Law years and was an activist back in her 20s. She is very bold, with overwhelming passion. She revealed that she would be investigating and delivering the truth despite the consequences. She even had thoughts of giving up her profession as a teacher because of wanting to become part of the Government; however, she is still hesitant to take the risk, time, and consequences that she will be facing before achieving it.

Ma'am Janet is a perfectionist. She does not like rushing or being pressured and blames herself when people did not do their work correctly. She also tends to say what's on her mind all the time and clarify the reason behind it. Although people often criticize her because of her personality, it did not change her mindset. She firmly believes that as a person, you need to be strong and accept making corrections with yourself if there is a downside. She knows that negativities are unnecessary in life, so learn to cut toxic people away.

Besides being a successful woman, Ma'am Janet is also an amazing mother to her two beautiful kids and a good spouse. And it is her greatest fulfillment in life; being able to raise them and lead them into the path of Christ. The most effective skill that she discovered and always used was empathetic communication. It helped her to connect with her family despite her busy schedules effectively. Another achievement she got was graduating from PhD in Language and Communication in 2020. She was a CHED scholar for research and dissertation. She graduated virtually and still moved on with it despite the pandemic.

Ma'am Janet's most remarkable advice for her students is to take advantage of the high-tech resources. She mentioned that to be a good communication student, one must exert an effort to grow and develop one's competence. Students should never stop learning and go out of their comfort zone. Having good communication skills takes time to practice, so you should read various literacy materials and continuously be updated with all sorts of news.

What drives her to keep moving forward is that she constantly reminds herself about her legacy that she will leave with and pass through her students. She always gives her best in whatever she does, and she also dedicates her time and effort when it comes to working. She expressed her silver lining as an abstract were more hope that there will always be a better day and better tomorrow, and God always wants the best for each of us.

Hi Khimber! How you crafted this article is so informative and interesting, and I definitely would say that it is worth sharing. I would only suggest that you utilize one font color to make easier to read but for the most part, you did a great job!

Hello Khimber! Overall I would definitely recommend this article to anyone who wants to have a deep dive about ma'am Janet's craft and scratch-on-the-surface about her personal life. The only thing for me is that when highlighting important points on the article, go easy on the font dynamics and just do one color as it's a little bit tricky to read continuously, but overall, solid article!
